NSK Megatorque

NSK megatorque motors are high precision, high speed positioning units.

The PS Megatorque Motor offers high speed in a compact design. Capable of a maximum speed of 10 s-1 and a position sensor resolution of 2,261,440 counts/rev. The PS Series offers high speed and high torque with a lightweight and compact design. These innovative DD (direct drive) motors are highly accurate, light and compact and increase productivity of various devices such as high-speed robot arms.

 

NSK PRECISION has introduced a direct drive motor with a compact design.
The PN Series, part of the Megatorque Motor line, is 35mm wide. This allows it to be used in applications such as semiconductor chip inspection, machine tool changers and medical liquid handling.
The unit offers a position sensor resolution of over 2.6 million counts per revolution.
Both the PS and the PN series drives can be programmed using the Megaterm software.

In the past NSK have carried megathrust and the YSB megatorque motor lines. NSK now offers only the PS and PN Series Megatorque Motors; all other motors have been discontinued, but Clark Components in conjunction with NSK will continue to support and provide information on all motors.
